About

As the clouds build in advance of the unexpected winter hurricane that will devastate the region the following two days, Winston Hawes, a young newspaper reporter, boards a ship in an attempt to escape the town where evil men are out to get him and recover what he stole from them.

Before the forty-hour voyage is over, a ship wide manhunt is conducted to find him. As desperation builds, they capture the woman he had just met and fallen in love with instead and hold her hostage until he turns himself in. Meanwhile, the captain intends to make an unscheduled stop in the middle of the night for reasons of his own.

While the captain has the ship positioned off-course, thirty-foot seas and near-zero visibility envelope them as the storm releases its full fury. Chaos ensues, and evil runs unchecked aboard the Algoma leading to the ship's sinking, and the death of most of its passengers and crew.

Can Winston rescue his true love and escape the carnage to come, or will the evil men succeed in burying the truth at the bottom of the lake?
